N4032F failover link

Hi

Is it possible to have 2 ports on a switch that port 1 is the primary path to the gateway and port 2 is to a secondary path.  I need them to auto failover

Any Help would be great

Hi,

Is it to the same gateway? If both connections are going to the same device setting up a port channel is would probably work. Page 646 ftp://ftp.dell.com/manuals/common/networking_nxxcli_en-us.pdf

If you just plug two cables in one should disable with spanning tree and failover if the other one loses connection.

Yes the same gateway

here is what we want to do

10.11.X.X >>>>10.11.0.1  Primary over our fiber (primary)

If fiber cut then auto failover via an ISP over MPLS Network back to our central office gateway 10.11.0.1

thks
