Possible Bug in x1052p switches

Hi,

Wondering if anyone else has experiences this;

We have purchased a bunch of x1052p switches and as the GUI interface is sooo slooow,  I wanted to configure them via the export/import function of the config.

So I configured one switch up and then made some changes in a text editor (notepad++)  like the name and the IP address,  usernames etc.. and the imported that to the new switch.

Once the new switch reboots, I can login to the switch with the new user and password and IP address, but all the edit buttons are missing and I am unable to modify any settings via the GUI and even the buttons for the wizards that appear on the dashboard are gone and the save and reboot functions under the gear icon are missing as well. Basically all I can do is look at the switch config and logout.

So therefore the switch is unable to be modified. I can reset to factory defaults, but writing the config back kills the switch again.

Any ideas, or anyone had the same issues trying to configure these switches?

Hi,

The first thing I did was update the firmware to the latest version. Even then it takes like 1 minute for the dashboard to load on the x1052p, the x4012 is faster probably because it only has 12 ports to load.

Looking at the backup, the privileges for the users are 15, so I don't think that they are read only, but maybe something else is wrong.
