PowerConnect 2608 - power consumption, noise?
Hello, I have three per-sales questions about the PowerConnect 2608 8-port Giga Switch
1. Is there a fan built in? makes it noise?
2. Internal or External power supply?
3. what is the power consumption? 1-no activity, 2. average, 3. max?

The PowerConnect 2600 series is primarily targeted toward the SOHO (Small Office/ Home Office) market. These switches have no fans, so they are very quiet. The power supply is internal, and there is no option for an external redundant power solution.
The power consumption specifications are not documented, but I am researching it with our product marketing and engineering groups. I will post any further information to this thread as soon as I receive it.
