Powerconnect 2848 Fan info needed

Question

I have a red fan light on my device. Tried searching forum but no applicable results found. User Guide is lacking details on fans other than to say there are 3.

Hoping someone out there can tell me what size fans are in this device so I can be ready to replace without having to take it down multiple times.

Hi, The fans in this switch are not replaceable, the whole switch will need to be replaced.

Thanks Josh. Not exactly the answer I wanted to hear, but at least it's an answer. It does, however, make it easier to get a POE switch approved as we are considering moving to VOIP for our phone system. And some day I will figure out why I get email notifications of replies from some forums and not others, sorry for the delay in acknowledging your response.

Hi @sclarky612,   The fans in PC2848 are not replaceable.

of course you can replace the fans.  unscrew the rack brackets unscrew the switch cover remove the fans. check the spec of the fans. search for them on ebay or elsewhere.  got mine replaced already.
