PowerConnect 62xx and IP Source Guard ?

G'day,

the system firmware version 3.0.0.8 for PowerConnect 62xx switches introduced the Dynamic ARP Inspection (DAI) feature.  A nice add-on to the DHCP Snooping and the 802.1X Port-based Network Access Control feature.  An IP Source Guard [1] feature is the one I'm also looking for as it helps to prevent some IP spoofing attacks.

Is the IP Source Guard feature available on PowerConnect 62xx switches  ?

In case the IP Source Guard feature is not available on PowerConnect 62xx switches with the system fw version 3.0.0.8 - is there a plan to introduce the feature ?

If yes, what's the time frame ?

Kind regards,

Martin

[1] IP Source Guard is a security feature that restricts IP traffic on untrusted L2 ports by filtering traffic based on the DHCP snooping binding database or manually configured IP source bindings. This feature helps prevent IP spoofing attacks when a host tries to spoof and use the IP address of another host. Any IP traffic coming into the interface with a source IP address other than that assigned (via DHCP or static configuration) will be filtered out on the untrusted Layer 2 ports.

My Dell source says IP Source Guard will be available in PowerConnect blade switches in September and in 62xx in Q1.
