Powerconnect 8132F Firmware Backup Issue
Hi all,
While preparing to update the firmware on my two recently aquired 8132F's to version 6.3 I thought I would backup my know good active version as a precaution. On switch #1 this all went fine, but on switch #2 after a long (5min) wait, I get this message:
How worried should I be? The one notable difference between the two switches is that #2 doesn't currently have a backup firmware version for some reason.
Should I just move forward with the update process?

Presently they are independent, but will be stacked once I get them updated. The switch that won't accept a backup firmware image is presently running version 5.1.1.7.
I have not tried copying newer firmware yet, but that sounds like the best option at this point. I'll give it a try and let you know the outcome.

That worked. 6.2.7.2 successfully loaded at the backup version, and I was able to then switch it to be the running version.
