RSA key length for SSH

I have Dell PowerConnect 5424.

Can I generate 2048 bit RSA key for SSH login?

Hi,

The switch supports 3DES, which is 3 64 bit keys, Blowfish which is up to 448 bit and RC4 which is up to 2048 bits. ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powerconnect/powerconnect-5424_Reference%20Guide_en-us.pdf p379. So if you use RC4 it should be possible to generate a key that meets your requirements.

I saw that page.
What command should I run?
"crypto key generate rsa" generate 1024 bit key, it haven't any more parameters.

Try crypto certificate generate key-generate length 2048 page 481 of the cli guide.

I saw that page too.

It is for https, not for ssh.

It doesn’t look like there is a way to specify a longer key length when generating a key on the switch, you may be able to use a public key that is imported from another device with 2048 bit encryption.

Page 380 of the CLI guide.

I want to use normal (user and password) authentication, not Public Key Authentication.
