S3048-ON Front End SFP stack
Hello the community,
I'm trying to stack 2 S3048-ON switchs using front end SFP+ fiber ports but it doesn't works.
The 2 switchs are on the same OS version.
On the "main" switch I have provisionned the "standby" switch and configured the ports Gi 2/x ....
On the main switch I configured
stack-unit 1 stack-group 2 (I use the port Te 1/51 to connect to the stanby switch)
stack-unit 1 priority 14
On the standby switch I configured
stack-unit 1 stack-group 2 (I use the port Te 1/51 to connect to the main switch)
stack-unit 1 priority 12
When I reload the main switch then the standby switch, nothing happends. The fibber copper is ok (green light) on the both sides but the main switch dosen't see the standby switch when I use the commande show system brief.
Nothing on the logs !
Theses switch are on production environment so I can't reload them anytime but only during maintain hours.
Do you have any idees ?
Thank.

I solved my problem.
Just power-off the standby switch
Connect the main and backup switch with the fiber câble
Reload the main switch
Once I can connect to the main switch, power-on the standby switch.
Regards.

Hello,
Further informations,
Here is the actions that I realised to configure the stack.
Mayby I shoud power-off the 2 switchs, connect them together. start the main then start the standby. What do you think about that ?
Rregards.
