Hi AlexLanS,

How much power are the ports drawing? It is a 350w power supply, so it is possible it is drawing too much power.

This should be the power SFP+ 0 Tx Power = 1.245mW which shouldn’t be causing it to draw too much power. You may want to update the firmware on the switch from 9.8 to 9.14. https://dell.to/3mAJdSZ

#show interfaces and the port should show the power usage. Page 1109 https://dell.to/35Ha350 What OS version is the switch on?

Sorry, but i dont know how much power used by one sfp+ port.
i see some information - from 1 watt to 1,6 watt.

i make test - when connect 24 sfp+ ER - all port enabled.
when connect 25 sfp+ ER - we see log error
%IFAGT-5-INSERT_OPTICS_PLUS: Optics 10GE SFP+ ER inserted in 0/24 is not activated due to power constraints

if we connect 25 sfp+ LR - ports a activated.
we can change firmware on sfp+ module that they will "SFP+LR" - but is this good for the switch?
i cant anywhere find information - how to see used power,

yes, that's right. Usually it doesn't take that long to be approved.

I make request with this link https://www.force10networks.com/CSPortal20/AccountRequest/AccountRequest.aspx

is this correct way?

Hello.

We update to latest firmware - 9.14.1.8.
But still see power error - Oct 29 15:14:14 %S4810:0 %IFAGT-5-INSERT_OPTICS_PLUS: Optics 10GE SFP+ ER inserted in 0/24 is not activated due to power constraints.

On some modules TX power on dBm

SFP+ 0 Temperature = 62.617C
SFP+ 0 Voltage = 3.349V
SFP+ 0 Tx Bias Current = 27.122mA
SFP+ 0 Tx Power = 1.2998dBm

or

SFP+ 0 Tx Power = 1.245mW.

So how much sfp+ module got power? )

It may be because you are not using dell optics, you may want to try them or try flashing the LR firmware.

Can anyone tell that with dell optics i will no get this error?

I cannot guarantee it but it would have better compatibility.

Hello

we change firmware on modules.

all 48 sfp+ are LR now.
we see output:

kiev_gdr50_dell_old#show environment pem

-- Power Supplies --
Unit Bay Status Type FanStatus Power AvgPower AvgPowerStartTime
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
0 0 up AC up 412 358 11/13/2020-11:22
0 1 down AC down 0 0 N/A

Is this 412 watt consumption right now?
PEM installed 350W.
So switch can work with this?

Yes, 412W is what is currently using, which is more than the power supply is rated for. It has some extra power above the rating but this is the problem you are having.
