Scripted backup of PowerConnect 6248 config
Hi:
I am investigating the possibility of using a script from a Linux host to backup the configuration of our PowerConnect 6248.
I tried to use ssh to run remote commands to the switch. That did not work.
Then I saw someone mentioned of using SNMP (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-switches/f/866/p/19440282/20073106.aspx). However, I cannot get it to work either. It fails with "agentTransferUploadRemoteFilename: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: (top) -> agentTransferUploadRemoteFilename)".
All of our PowerConnect 6248 runs 3.2.1.3.
So I want to see if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do the automated the PowerConnect config backup process?
Thanks,
Eric Wong
