Source interface for ip ping and traceroute
Platform PC6224
Verion 3.2.0.9
Are there any upgrade version allowing the pinging of a destination interface other then the management address? Same for traceroute
I need to make certain that that access-list and routes are properly functioning from different sub-nets. this would be possible if:
ping ip [remote address] source vlan [xx] or
ping ip [remote address] source [local address]
similar with traceroute.

My need is beyond generic routing.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Our environment is configured with multiple routed vlans, ospf, running mst for spanning tree. However our management vlans do not participate in the routing table and exists only for tacacs authentication. So the management address can not directly access host addresses. Several vlans utilize access-lists limiting egress to other networks.
I would like to validate ip access utilizing an enhanced ping (much like I am able to complete on other vendor devices).
Having this capablitity would permit us the ability to test switch modifications without the need to drive to another location for validation testing.

Post upgrade to version verion 3.3.2.3 _ 1. No enhancements to basic ping or telnet commands.
Please forward this to the powers and engineers for product enhancements.
Is version 3.3.2.3 the latest version for PCT6224?

What is the procedure for a product enhancement request? Particuarly since the functionality has been implemented in the majority of other switch families.
