SSH Problem on 5324

Question

We're testing out a 5324 and I'm having some problems. For whatever reason, I can't telnet or SSH to the switch, and the web interface intermittently locks up. That's annoying and I'd really like to get SSH to work. Oh, and I can't get in through the console, either. It repeats 'Hit any key...Authentication failed. Hit any key...Authentication failed'... We are using AAA authentication via TACACS+, which is working because I can get in through the web interface (when it's functioning, anyway.) Here's what I see when I try to Telnet or SSH into the switch: Router#10.1.100.91 Trying 10.1.100.91 ... Open [Connection to 10.1.100.91 closed by foreign host] Router#ssh 10.1.100.91 Trying 10.1.100.91...Open [Connection to 10.1.100.91 aborted: error status 0] The SSH server is enable, I have 'login authentication default' configured on the console, telnet, and SSH lines. The AAA authentication default is configured for TACACS with a fallback to the enable password. The SSH server has been enabled and a crypto key has been generated. Any thoughts? Thanks, John

I'm getting closer. I discovered I had an SSH version mismatch between my client (a Cisco Router) and the switch. I guess I won't be able to SSH to the switch from our Cisco devices. I'll have to create a special session in my SSH client for this device.

I'm still having authentication issues but I think we're getting closer to making it work.
