Tagging VLAN 1 on 5316M possible ?

Hi,

I have set up an VMWare ESX Server on my 1855 connected to the built-in 5316m switch.

Now I need to make my management VLAN 1 ( together with some other VLANS ) visible to the esx server. ( I know using VLAN1 as mgmt lan is not a good idea but we can´t change it now )

But the ESX-Server can only see tagged packets !

The question ist: How can I configure the switch to tag VLAN1, VLAN2, VLAN3 and VLAN4 ?

On Cisco switches this can be done by changing the native VLAN. But changing the native VLAN on the 5316m does work. VLAN1 is still untagged.

Unfortunately I don't think you can tag the management VLAN 1 on this switch.  It has nothing to do with the native VLAN.

Cuong.

Hi,

this is bad news. But I read somewhere that a cisco switch module is available for the 1855 blade enclosure. Is this correct ?
