VLAN 1 IP address on S3148

Hello,

I'm working on a tech refresh of a client network from a pair of Powerconnect 6224s to a pair of S3148 in VLT.  The customer has a fairly flat network, on the 6224 they had their LAN IP as the "main" IP address, which I assume tied to VLAN 1.

On the Dell S3148, you can't assign an IP address outside of a VLAN, AND you can't assign an IP address to VLAN 1.  This has put me in a bit of a bind, because how am I supposed to configure this IP now?  Do I have to plumb a new VLAN through their entire environment?
