I think you that you can find information about changing the mini-PCI card in the user manuals which can be downloaded from this site.
If you changed the RAM yourself, then you should have no problem changing the mini-PCI, it's only 2 screws underneath the laptop and the card is in a socket similar to the ones where the RAM is. You might want to check if you need to plug the cable though, it might be the antenna, It's been a while since I've done this.
Thanks for that reply but i am in the uk and i can't find a a/b/g mpci on the uk site... this is the link i have http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/DellItemsProductListing.aspx?Page=DellItemsProductListing.aspx&spagenum=1&items_per_page=25&orderby=&sortdirection=&image_flag=True&show_summary=True&category_id=4011&brandid=&sku=&mnfsku=&SearchType=&Pageb4Search=&ModelSelection=13575&iCompatid=&selectiontypeids=&l=en&c=uk&cs=ukbsdt1&SubmitSearch=&servicetag=&reset=True&k=&mnf=&prst=&prEnd=&InStock=&refurbished=&fe=

Thanks again
