I beleive that a wireless G USB adapter requires a USB 2.0 port. The XPS R450 only has USB 1.1 ports. Your options are to buy a USB 2.0 PCI card to give you USB 2.0 ports, or buy a PCI wireless adapter.
Thanks to those who tried to help. Found the Belkin driver accessing the net from another computer but the problem with trying to download a driver is you can't if you can't access the net! Tried copying it to a CD but it wouldn't load in the other computer. Belkin wasn't responding to emails until Jan 3. Desperate, I did something I thought I wasn't supposed to do--loaded the Belkin again using the Windows wizard. It worked after I got around another hurdle with Microsoft Explorer now linked to AOL. Seems the whole problem is about Microsoft and their thing about software that doesn't have their approval signature. Got the same warning about McAfee Virus Scan and Firewall. It doesn't seem right.
