The problem has been resolved . It was with windows services the problem existed. I had to change the account associated with bluetooth support sevice from my local account to local services. Thereafter I was able to connect my bluetooth devices to the laptop. Now it's working fine. Dell 1705 is the presently installed driver.
Please suggest some solutions to get rid of ghost touches which are usually annoying and often blocking me from using laptop.
I expect you have downloaded and installed all the required drivers from dell website.
This is what I did:
Press Windows Key + R When the Run window opens, type " services.msc" (without quotes) Find Bluetooth Support Services See what is there in the "Log On As" column If it is Local System, right click and choose properties. Under "Log On" tab, select "This Account" and give "Local Services"
You may want to refer to this older thread "Activate Bluetooth Using Wireless Switch", where several fixes are listed to activate bluetooth. There can be a few different causes for what you're seeing, and many of them are resolved in that thread.
You will most likely find a resolution to your issue in that thread, but if not you can also check out Dell's Bluetooth support article to see if you can find other steps you can try.
Please let me know if you're able to resolve the problem, and if so, which steps helped you to fix it. That way others can find the way to resolve the problem if they see it.
