Cannot connect through router - McAfee issue?

Question

I have been unable to connect to the Internet via the router. I'm not sure if it's related to a McAfee update or not. I updated McAfee Security Center earlier today. Things seem to work until early this evening when another family member wanted to access the Internet via the wireless connection. It wouldn't work so I rebooted the Lynksys wireless-G router. Then I couldn't even connect even though I have a wired connection.   I can't figure out what's wrong. If I disconnect the modem from the router and connect it directly to my computer, then I can access the Internet.   Also, I have a network printer and am able to access it via the router. Can anyone help? I tried turning off the firewall and still can't access the network via the router.   I run Norton ghost and am seriously thinking about restoring to a point from yesterday. I've already spent hours on this issue and can't seem to resolve it.

Apparently the issue was with the modem. I thought I had rebooted it as well as the router, but today, I unplugged both the modem and the router and waited several minutes. Connected the modem and waited for all the lights to appear. Then plugged in the router. After both were running, the Internet connection appeared on the wired computers. I haven't checked the wireless ones yet as I'll have to wait until the family members come home.   I still think this has something to do with updating McAfee as the problems arose after I did that yesterday. Don't you just love software?
