Connection problems with inspiron 1520

Question

I was surfing today when my security came up and said i was at risk. I clicked the button it told me to and it did said something about dissabling communication between computers and to right click the symbol to fix it. I did and it did not work. I have tried repairing and whenever it gets to the renewing IP address part it says that it can't and that I have liminted or no connectivity. I just got this and I don't need it to be ruined. What should I do to fix it?

You message is so vague that it is really difficult to help. Which version of Windows? What "security came up" telling you that you are at risk? Was this a web page that came up, a message from your firewall software or a message from Windows? What symbol did it tell you you had to right click?
