Dell download for Intel 3945 Wireless

I have an Inspiron 9400/1705. I got an automated Dell support message to download and install the Intel 3945 Wireless Card Driver. I use a Linksys Router with WPA incription.
I downloaded to my desktop and installed. I was unable to get online again.
I had to do a sys restore to get things to work again.
I tried everything to get the sign in password box for the router but no luck.

Help
Thanks Greg

Since there are no replies to my post can anyone tell me or give me a link to install the new driver update?
Do I first download, then go to device manager and delete the current 3945 then restart and then install the new downloaded driver?
Will this affect my router?
Thanks

Read my post. I do not need the download link. I already downloaded it. I need specific install instructions. ie:delete 3945 from device manager/add/remove/delete wireless utility.
I have tried several combinations and when I install and reboot I can no longer get online and get a message unable to renew IP address.

Reread your own post:
"Since there are no replies to my post can anyone tell me or give me a link to install the new driver update?"

That's what I did....

Since you are asking for something different now, I will try to help. I will assume your router has not changed since you were able to get online last. Therefore all you should need to do is remove whatever wireless software is currently installed via the Add/Remove Programs control panel, then install the new software that you have downloaded. Once you have done this it might be necessary to recreate your wireless profile in PROSet to match the settings on your router. As a last resort you should reconfigure your router as well.
