Dell E6440 wifi problem

Hello,

I just bought Dell Latitude E6440 laptop, I have all drivers installed except wifi driver. I have a problem with this driver.

First od all I noticed that wifi indicator is active all the time no matter if switch is enabled or disabled.

I tried updating the driver online in Device Manager but it didn't worked,

I tried downloading various drivers from Dell site but it tells me that my card isn't supported by particular drivers.

I also tried installing the driver by Slimdrivers software but it also failed.

I have no idea what to do next, maybe I could somehow manually check wifi module installed in my laptop and try to download the driver? Is this possible to do with laptop instead of PC? Which program should I use?

I have my wifi card enabled in BIOS and my operating system is Windows 7 Pro.

Thank you in advance for your support

Please Private Message me your Service Tag and I will be happy to take a look at what card the system shipped with.

Another option (even though you might have tried it) is to visit this support link: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/latitude-e6440-laptop/diagnose

and try Dell's guided help to find specific drivers for you. You can also enter your Service Tag here to get more specific details.

    Best regards,

    Brad

Im having an issue with WiFi connecting to the internet. It says it’s connected to the wifi but when I try using the internet it says a problem is preventing troubleshooter from starting. What does this mean and what should I do?
