Try the Dimension - Modem forum. Most of us on this forum don't use dialup connections. You are more likely to find people that actually use modems on the modem forum.

DSL uses an external modem that has nothing to do with the analog telephone modem you refer to in your intitial message. So, upgrade the drivers for the telephone modem will have no effect whatsoever on your dsl modem. What problem(s) are you having with dsl?

Network card drivers don't just suddenly go out of date. If it worked before, then new drivers will not solve your problem. My experience with both dsl and cable internet access (the internet in general) is that there are so many variables out there, that connection speeds or access speeds to some sites varies on a day to day basis. For example, accessing these forums from my work (which goes through bellsouth.net) has been extremely slow the last few days. But if I drive home and immediately access these forums from my home computer (which goes through cox.net), the access is very fast. This suggests that there is some router somewhere on the path from work that is having problems.

Thanks Steve,
Your right Iam having trouble with my internet conection being slow, Running 3Com 3C920 Integrated Fast Ethernet Controller (3C905C-TX Compatible) and Bellsouth`s FastAccess DSL. I was wonder if my network conection drivers were out of date or something that was causing my DSL to run slow. Contacted bellsouth fasaccess support and they got it running alittle faster about 777Kbps. I was downloading at 1.3Mbps then it just slow down.
Thanks Hoss
