Driver Updates

Why doesn't Dell keep up with driver updates on older hardware?  I have an E1705 and was having problems with my wireless connection.  Of course Dell hasn't updated the driver since 2007.  Found a recent driver on the Intel site and it solved my connection problems.  Also have found a new driver for the Bluetooth card but they want to charge for it. Dell however only has the original driver on it's site. I am still having issues with my scroll wheel not working unless I toggle the bluetooth and wireless using the FN+F2 keys then it works. Would be nice if they would keep up with the latest drivers for the hardware we spend our money for.

That's what I did to solve my wireless problem.  The point is I had to search it out myself.  Funny how Dell hasn't added the driver to their site.  Would like a Bluetooth driver update also.  I guess they stop supporting systems after the first year.
