Anyways, EVERY time I close down my internet the internet explore error report message keeps coming up. It also comes up if another window on that page is closed or say I post something and it automatically closes it does the same thing and then it will close the whole site. I dont know what to do. I have ran the Mcafee virus scan multiple times to makes sure and it has not caught anything. I dont know what else to do. Can anyone help?
When the error reporting message comes up, click on the link to show the details of the error report. Write down and post here the AppName and ModName involved in the error. This may help us narrow down the problem from sevreal hundered thousand possibilities to only a few.
Unfortunately that is not too helpful (ModName - unknown). Go
Here and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis. Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the
HijackThis forum where a HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem. Be sure to read the message at the top of the HijackThis forum before you post there.
Whenever a program crashes, whether it’s a Microsoft application, a component of Windows, or a third-party application, a window appears, prompting you to send a "report" to Microsoft. Here's how to disable this feature, either completely or selectively:
* Open System in the Control Panel (or right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties.
* Choose the Advanced tab, and click Error Reporting.
* You can disable error reporting entirely here, or enable it selectively for certain programs. Click Ok when you're done.
