Hi EddieHacks,

After the operating system is installed, the drivers should be installed in correct order. Please use this link which shows the right order: http://tinyurl.com/8xvx6xy

I suggest you to install the chipset drivers first from the below mentioned link and then install the rest of the drivers in order as shown in the above link.

Click tis link to install Chipset drivers: http://dell.to/16HHpMr

Click this link to download and install Broadcom BCM57788: http://dell.to/12fripS

Click this link to install Wireless WLAN 1501 Half Mini-Card: http://dell.to/10eC0JK

Please reply for further help.

Hi EddieHacks,

I would like you to post the screen shot of “Device manager” page. To enter Device manager page follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Click “Start”.
  2. Click “Control Panel” and select “Device Manager”.
  3. On the “Device Manager” window, expand “Network adapters”.
  4. Send a screen shot of this page.

I will check for status of the network adapters and help you further.

Hi EddieHacks,

As per the above image, WLAN card is detected in Device manager, and as Ethernet card is not detected in device manager I would like you to check in BIOS if the “Onboard LAN controller is enabled or disabled. To check please follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Restart the system by tapping F2 at Dell screen.
  2. Select “Advanced” tab in the BIOS page.
  3. Select “System Configuration” and check the option besides “Onboard LAN controller”, if it is “Disabled” please “Enable” it.
  4. Press F10 to save the changes made and Exit the BIOS screen.

Check if the Ethernet controller is detected in Device manger, if it is detected try to plug in an Ethernet cable and check for network connection.

Please reply for further help.

Hi EddieHacks,

I suggest you to disable and enable “Onboard LAN controller” in BIOS and check.

To disable “Onboard LAN controller” enter BIOS, select Advanced tab and Disable it, save changes and exit and shutdown the system. Now restart the system by tapping F2 at Dell screen to enter the BIOS screen and enable “Onboard LAN controller” save changes and exit.

Now restart the system normally and check if the network card is detected in device manger.

If the issue persists, please private message the system service tag, contact number and registered owner’s name. I would like to check the system specifications and other available options to fix the issue.

To private message, click my user name and click “Start conversation”.

Awaiting your response!
