After reformatting and reinstalling Windows did you first install the chipset drivers followed by drivers for your network adapters, video adapter, and sound card? Which model computer do you have? Which version of Windows?

Assuming you are running Windows XP, go to the following site and download the chipset drivers, the drivers for your sound card (audio device), video card, and network adapter. Copy the download files to removable media to that you can get them on your XPS 2000. Then install the chipset drivers first by running the file you downloaded. Once the chipset drivers are installed, run the other files to install the drivers for your other devices.
