Help with Wireless Setup

I have a Dell Desktop.  I want to connect it wireless with an apple AirPort Extreme Base Station.  I have a Dell TrueMobile 1300 USB wireless adapter.  I install it per instructions.  It does not "see" the the router.  I have tried several things, it looks like it sees my neighbor's network (it is security locked, so I can't access it), but nothing shows on my network.  I have a dell laptop and microsoft x-box, both readily identified the AirPort Extreme Base Station and work well.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

Offhand I'd say it's either a range issue (move it closer and see if it appears) or SSID Broadcast is disabled on your router (unlikely if your laptop can see it without any configuration on your part).  Seems like the card is fine if it can see other networks.

Thanks for the reply.  It is not a distant thing because I have them next to each other.  I tried using a 2wire wireless router and the device would "connect" but I had no internet access.  The IP addresses were completely different between my laptop and desktop. (The laptop would work). Thanks again.
