Inspiron 6000 wlan adapter driver problem

Question

hey ppl, wondering if you could help me out. i reinstalled windows on my laptop and i was reinstalling all the drivers and i cant seem to find the one that gets the built in wireless adapter working. ive got the intel pro set wireless program but when i try and install this it says that the wlan adapter is not installed. can someone please help me, where can i find the driver for internal wlan adpater for dell inspiron 6000, cheers.

i have the exactly same problem with the same notebook model. neither the resource cd nor the drivers from the dell website work.    unfortunately no one replied to this thread for some days which is kind of disappointing. i would still be thankful for a solution. could you possibly solve it, khardkoo?

Hi mate, yeh basically all i did was download the driver on this link:   http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&SystemID=INS_PNT_6000&os=WW1&osl=EN   Under networks, the driver labelled Dell_Wireless (Except US, Japan) WLAN Card. I think its da second one. i think this is what made it work, not 100% sure but after i installed this driver it started working. give it a go, hope it works.

KHARDKOO I am just simply gonna tell you that you 'JUST MADE MY DAY', I had tried some other workarounds an no one did work. But This one just worked PERFECTLY.
