Intel Proset/wireless
I have an inspiron 600m running xp with a Dell wireless 1350 wireless mini-pci card. Intel just automatically downloaded a new wireless driver but when it tried to install it I recieved a meesage "unable to detect supported adapter". What to do?

I think the 1350 is a actually a broadcom adapter...
How did you get an intel autoupdate?

Humm that's is a new one to me. Didn't know that intel pushed updates. If you do have the 1350 then I would not be concerned with it not installing, as I mentioned it is not an intell card.
Just for refernenc do you have a link or file name for this update. or updater.

Double check in device manager to see exactly what wireless adapter shows there under the network line. If there is no listing for any intel product I would disable these two files in the msconfig listing. Im fairly confident that with a 1350 wireless card this will make no difference.
And will solve your issue. I ran the intel proset software in my laptop for 3 yrs and never got a push update like you mention. that is why I was curious
