Little Connecting Wire for Mini PCI

SO having looked around at the range of available cards for my C600 I notice none of them are supplied with the wire that connects the Mini PCI card to my onboard Antenna, I believe the term is a "Pigtail wire"

I have had a look at the Dell site and don't seem to see it as a listed part, although Dell seem pretty convinced that each card that they have will be suitable for my Laptop, they fail to mention whether they sell or supply the wire that I need, or indeed if it is available as a seperate part.

Does anyone know anyone or have one that is for sale as I really hate having this PCMCIA card stuck out of the side of my Laptop.

Cheers

look in your mini pci slot.  are their antenna leads in there?  do they have connectors on the end that would 'push' down onto the receiving end of the mpci card?

Hi
Inside my C600 there is a small board next to the Mini PCI Card (currently occupied with a LAN/Modem card) which is the terminating card for the inbuilt antenna, however it has sockets (the right type for a pigtail) so it assumes that the Mini PCI card will have the connector wire, however as I said all the WINIC's I can see assume that the Laptop has the connecting cable.

In the service manual for the C600 as provided by dell it shows a WINIC with the connecting cable attached, but these don't seem to exist.

Cheers for the reply, although it's kinda hard to google the part if i'm not sure of the correct name for it,

I have however been through the site you mentioned but again couldnt find the part listed (so far) but I have emailed the company and asked them so hopefully I may find out.

Thanks

can always look on ebay too...   either for cable or for card with cable.

ask them for a dell part number.  if you can get one from them, it will be a relatively simple thing to try and get it from dell spare parts (or at least get a price).

the last cable I tried to buy from dell spare parts was a bit pricey though.  $10 for the cable and $10 to ship

Ha Just the Job, and only $13.99 that's the same link I had before wasnt it, but I messed my PST file up and lost the post, i'm still searching for an english company that have them though.

Once again Leduke You came through with the answer , now I will add that to my list of must buys, I have some things finishing on Ebay soon so hopefully I will have the spare cash for it.

Regards
