M4800 / M6800 Linux wifi drivers

Hello!

The Precision workstations M4800 and M6800 are said to be shipped with Ubuntu or Red Hat Linux as optional OS instead of Windows.

When I ordered my M4800 I did not get that choice, but that's ok. I am used to installing Linux on my own.

But as these options exist from the factory, could Dell please tell how you manage to get the wifi working in Ubuntu or Red Hat? According to forums on the internet I am not the only one having trouble to find a stable wifi solution for my Dell 1550 / Broadcom 4352 card.

I, and probably quite a few others Linux users, would deeply appreciate this information.
