Missing Ethernet Driver
Hi,
I just formatted my hard drive and installed Windows XP from scratch. I have a Dimension E310. When I looked at the Device driver menu I saw that I didn't have an Ethernet Driver installed. I have looked all over Dells site for the correct one but, can't seem to find it on the list for my Service Tag model. Possibly I don't recognize the drivers terminology as far as the list is concerned?
I have the original Dell Resource instalation disks with various drivers on them but, I can't seem to work out how to use them.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Fire911

I am answering my own post just in case someone with the same problem reads it. Finally, I found the correct driver on Dells Driver Download page. The driver number is R105478. Download and save this file to your desktop then, double click on the file and it will self extract to a location you want it to. In my cash I had it extract to a flash stick which I removed and inserted in the E310 that did not have the Ethernet Controller working. Then run the program and it fixed the problem in seconds.
