Modem driver needed!!!

Question

dear. Dell support,

I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop, runing windows 2000 professional. I dont know what is the modem driver sould i used and where i can download?

I have tried to download the Modem, V90, Internal, Network Interface Card/Controllers, Mini PCI Card, 3COM, V2 on Dell website with the file is: AC111301 and follow the intrucsion but the windows still not regconized. Please. send me the driver or show me how to do?

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

There is a 3Com nic/modem combination card in your system. A link to the driver is here. You should also be aware of the hardware scan available by clicking on the Current Configuration link below your service tag on the main Dell support page.

You may have the Actiontec - look under the cover on the bottom for the manufacturer name on the mini-PCI card.  If it is the Actiontec, use the 8.30 driver link in my sig below.
