If you are only want to share files between the 2 computers and not share an internet connection, you will need an ethernet network card in each computer and a special network cable called a cross-over cable to connect the two network cards. If you want to share an internet connection or have one of the computers connect wirelessly, then it would depend on exactly what you want to do. Go to www.homenethelp.com and read up on some of the possiblities, then post back with the details of what you want to do and we can make further recommendations.

For a sekdtop system like the 2400, if doesn't already have one built in, just about any PCI card form manufacturers like Linksys, Belkin, D-Link, or Netgear should be just fine. You can find these for less than $10 after rebate if you check the weekly ads at places like CompUSA, BestBuy, Circuit City, Office Depot, or OfficeMax. Network cards for laptops are bit more expensive - $20 - $40. Your best bet would be PCMCIA (PC) cards.
