Which version of Windows are you running? Can you connect through a wired ethernet connection (this might tell us whether or the problem is software or hardware)?
Go to Start > Run and type winipcfg then hit the enter key. Make sure the wireless network adpater is selected, then click on the More button. Write down and report here the IP address, Gateway Address and DNS server address (you can leave off the last three numbers of each if you wish, replacing the last three numbers with x). With this information we may be better able to figure out whre the problem is.
