Possible Security Setting Issue

Question

Our office has recently purchased an OptiPlex GX520 to replace one of our workstations.  This machine is in a network and the user has administrator rights, but when the machine is logged into this user items such as jump drives and some other hardware, such as the digital camera are not recognized.  The computer can be logged onto by at least two other users in the network and these issues are resolved, so we have concluded that it is some setting that we have overlooked. Can anyone suggest where to start?   Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I would look into the hardware profile fot this user and possibly delete it and create a new one.
