radio "staticky"

I installed my wireless system two days ago and it works really well!  However now my radio is super staticky, just horrible.  If I stand right by the wireless box at my computer the static goes way.  Now obviously it's not practical for me to stand by my desk all day!  Any suggestions on how to "ground" the wireless box so it still sends to my laptop, but doesn't mess with my radio?  Many thanks in advance,

Are you saying that you have an FM radio nearby that is putting out static when you use your wireless AP and Laptop? I don't know of a way to "ground" either device, but it's obvious that your problem is simple interference between the 2. I'd start by changing the channel that your router runs on.. try several to see if it gets better/worse.

If that dosent do it, try changing the channel on your radio. You may have to start listening to country/rap/classical/bluegrass if they're the only channels that come in decently.

Lastly, try relocating either the router or the radio. I'd bet that you'll get better reception if your radio is closer to the window.

Good luck!

That is the best suggestion - distance.  As the wise old doctor once said, "If it hurts when you do that, don't do that!"
