Replace Dell wireless adapter with Intel WiDi

Hello.

I am trying to get WiDi on my PC. The i7-3770S is compatible but the Dell brand wireless adapter is not.

  • How can I find a list of compatible Intel wireless adapters? Intel will not provide this info.
  • The replacement should include dual band with 5Ghz, bluetooth & WiDi

Current Details: XPS 2710, Windows 7, i7-3770S, Dell wireless adapter ( WLAN 2.4GHz + Bluetooth)

Here is a photo of the current Dell wireless adapter.

Thank you

Hello,

Are you sure the DW 1703 isn't compatible with WiDi?   I believe it is.

The WLAN cards shipped on the Dell™ XPS™ One 2710 provide support for Bluetooth and Wi-Di.

If you want to change WiFi cards to an Intel that supports WiDi, the Intel 6235 card was also available as an option on that system, so it might be what you are looking for.  But have you tried to configure the DW1703 for WiDi through the Intel Intel My WiFi Utility?
