Speed Dial Settings?
I had a USR modem on my old PC. I had an init string which enabled "speed dialing", when I would connect to my ISP. I think it was the "S11=38" part of the init string that did it.
But, I can't figure out a way to use this with my Conexant SmartHSFi V92 56K DF PCI Modem that came with this PC. I have tried to incorporate S11=38 into several init strings, but I haven't found one that works. Any ideas?
Thanks

spotteddog,
Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.
The S11 register is for the DTMF tone duration; I believe the default value on this Conexant modem is 95. It is not recommended that this default register be changed as it may cause dialing or connection problems.
