system error 6118 in net view
I have a small home network with 2 desktops and a laptop inspiron 9300 wireless. Network was fine until a recent trip were we used the hotels wireless connection. Now I cannot access the home network. I get *****network is not accessible you may not have acess rights..... This is from the laptop only. I tried disabling the wireless and using the ethernet card and the same response. I tried using the net view command from the command prompt and received the system error 6118. I followed the directions from microsoft about adding ports to the firewall, and I still cannot see my network. If I go to start/run, and type in the IP address, everything is fine. I just cannot see the network through my network connections. Any suggestions to get this to work correctly. I have uninstalled both network cards, and reinstalled. I also renamed, and reconfigured the network, with no success.
Thanks
Dan
