I have just installed Windows 10 on my Optiplex GX620 having upgraded from Windows 7 professional.
I have not been able to install any software as I cannot get an internet connection. My ISP has walked me through various checks but still cannot get connected via Ethernet. They suggested that I contacted Dell to see if there is an updated driver for the computer.
I can get on line by using my laptop so would be able to download any updated driver if I knew the location etc. in order to download it.
Unfortunately, there are no Windows 10 drivers available for the Optiplex GX620.
Product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade
Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected.
Well, La-De-Da. All some of us wants is a computer to do relatively simple jobs such as word processing, Excel spreadsheets, read/write emails, etc. We DON'T need a new computer that has new and more powerful features that we have no intentions of using. It isn't fair for Microslop on the one hand to force us to update to Windows 10/11 and on the other hand Dell will not meet our need for drivers, BIOS, etc. to be updated for Windows 10. These are perfectly working machines except we can't have updated drivers to allow them to operate properly.
