Wireless Adapter
I've had this wireless adapter little over a year.
Today, while I was on the computer I noticed my network connection was disconnected and at first I didn't LOOK at the wireless adapter. But when I did,the blue light wasn't on. Then I had to unplug it from my adapter, still didn't work. So I restarted the computer.
I'm not sure what's wrong with the wireless adapter.

It is really difficult to help without some basic information. Telliing us things like the make and model of the computer, version of Windows, make and model of the wireless network adapter, make and model of the wireless router. would be a good first step.

Have you tried inserting the adapter into a different USB port? Does the wireless adapter show up in Device Manager when you expand the listing for Network Adpters? If you open the Netgear wireless utility, are there any diagnostic tests you can run? Do you have another computer on which you can test the USB wireless adapter?

And the internet was going slow this week on my computer(on the Dimension E310) But everything seems okay for now...
I'm just wondering what is causing it to act that way. Like a virus or something wrong with the wireless adapter.
Considering two hours ago , the blue light just wasn't on at all, just all of a sudden. And when network connection isn't connected, the blue light blinks on the wireless adapter.

The wireless adapter is a NETGEAR WG111 54 Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 adapter.
I think our router is a Belkin. And it's a pretty NEW router. I'm not sure what MODEL it is exactly.I doubt it has ANYTHING to do with the router.

Intermittent problems are extremely difficult to solve. You have to look for similarities in all aspects of the system and see them often enough to see a pattern. Keep watching. Hopefully it was just a one-time glitch.
