Wireless password
The first time I stayed with my friend, I set up my computer to connect automatically to her wireless. Unfortunately, we can neither of us remember the password and my friend is reluctant to set up a new one. Is there any way to extract the password from my machine, Inspiron 9400, running Vista. My friend is an older lady who is reluctant to poke around in the virtual bowels of her own machine.

There is a very easy way to deal with the wireless password issue and never touch your friend's PC!
Hook your PC up to her router by Cat5 cable, log into her router, navigate to wireless and encryption, and set a new encryption code.
Then go into your wireless client, scan for networks (when you are at her house) , connect to her network, and key in the same code.
--> Write the code on tape, placed on bottom of router.
--> Google her router for information, to help navigate to wireless settings, and probable UN and PW to get into the router.
--> Try "admin" and "admin" or "admin" and "password", to get into the router.
