Wireless problem default gateway dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card
Hi to all in the forum,
My Laptop is a Dell Precision M4400 and my Network adapter is the 1397 wlan mini-card.
My problem is related with wireless connection at my work, the internet is constantly going down, the signal is OK, I’m connect to the network, but the internet is not available. I’m running WIN 7 Enterprise Service pack 1.
Every time that I make a diagnose I get this as answer: “The default gateway is not available”
Already goggling about this, it seems to be a common problem with WIN 7 and Dell but no solution.
Could you guys help me?
Thanks in advance.
Ismael

Ismael,
When you installed Windows, did you install the drivers in the correct order? How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Start, control panel, device manager, network, double click on Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Half Mini Card, advanced.
Look for antenna diversity. Change the antenna diversity from auto to Aux.

Hi Nick,
I download the drivers from the dell web page using my service tag and installed one by one.
I already try the antenna diversity, but didn’t work.
Regards.

Ismael,
Download the System Information Tool If using Vista/Windows 7, the tool needs extracted. Once extracted, right click on sysinfo and run as administrator.
If using XP, double click on the tool, then double click on sysinfo.
Allow this past your virus program and post the information back here.

Ismael,
Download and install in order...
Notebook system utility.
Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
Intel AMT SOL/ LMS
Intel AMT HECI
Ricoh R5C847
Then download and install...
Intel 825xx Gigabit Platform LAN Network Device
Dell Wireless WLAN 1510 Half MiniCard (4322) (drivers work for the Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card)
Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Minicard
Dell ControlPoint Connection Manager WLAN (Broadcom Windows 7) Driver Pack
After these are installed, first go to...
Start, control panel, device manager, network, double click on Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card, click on advanced. Change the antenna diversity from Auto to Aux.
After you're online, you'll need to install the audio and video drivers and any other applications that show missing in the device manager.

Ismael,
Try THESE DRIVERS.
BoldJohn,
If you could make a new thread and provide this information, and include what your issue is.
Download the System Information Tool If using Vista/Windows 7, the tool needs extracted. Once extracted, right click on sysinfo and run as administrator.
If using XP, double click on the tool, then double click on sysinfo.
Allow this past your virus program and post the information back here.

Hi Rick,
The drivers link is only for Dell Wireless 1397, 1510 Half MiniCard. Should and uninstall the existing one?
Thanks.

Hi Rick,
Sorry for the lasted reply. I'm not router administrator, I cannot change the channel. We are about 30 people working with this router, and I'm the only with problems...
