Look in device manager and locate the model of your drive. Then if you simply enter that model in the search window above, you'll find out what kind of drive you have there.

I purchased  DELL XPS 430, FEB 6, 2009. I have read nnotices concerning Blu-ray. Will my DVD/CD drive read Blu-ray.  Thanks Doug <ADMIN NOTE: Email removed per privacy policy>

 

Hi Doug,   To play blu-ray disc's you must have a blu-ray rom drive and the software as well. The DVD drives that where shipped with the XPS 430, were not blu-ray. See HERE. The drive I have is Blu-ray, but i bought that drive as retail.
