Help! Just two months out of guarantee but Dell don't want to know. When I switch on, the louder noise which is normal for a few seconds before it goes quiet and boot up starts, just carries on at the original level. No green light comes on and even the Dell logo screen does not appear. Sometimes, if I persist and hold the start button in for a few seconds i get switch off and if I pressstart again,I get the Dell logo page but it goes no further. If I really persist, it will boot up after about six attempts. Any suggestions gratefully received.. I am using Dell Inspiron 530 Version 6, with Vista.
