3000 SFF Hard Drive Issues
Hello,
I have a question Im hoping the comunity can help with. I have the computer listed above and want to add a larger internal 3.5 hard drive to it and I have run into some problems with it being detected. I have tried several different sizes and manufatures and cant seem to get them all to work.
Here is a list of info I think may be asked ...
Windows 11
Bios version 1.28.0
i5-12500 32gb DDR4 @ 3200
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 ---- ALWAYS DETECTED
Seagate Exos 7E8 4TB 7200 ----- ALWAYS DETECTED
Toshiba Performance X300 4TB 7200 ---- SOMETIMES DETECTED
Western Digital HC520 12TB 7200 ---- NEVER DETECTED
When I talk of being detected, I mean I dont see them in Widows Explorer on first startup or any restarting either.
I have Dell Support Assist and run it reguarly to make sure the system is as up to date as possible. I have been on the phone and live chatted with support and no one seems to have an answer. I am hopefull someone in the community may have some insight or answers.
If more info is needed please let me know.
Alan

I have an external dock connected by usb 3.0 and every hard drive is recognized every single time I put them in the dock. I did this to rule out defective drives. It seems this has support puzzled as well.
