755 SFF, VBOX, How to enable 64 bit support

Hi

I have a Dell Optiplex 755 SFF PC with Win 10 64 bit.

In Virtualbox I can only see 32 bit OSs listed.

How do I enable the 64 bit support for Virtualbox? My BIOS version is A22. The CPU is a Core2Quad and RAM-8GB, Graphics Card is ATI Radeon 5450 512MB.

Yours sincerely,

Arvind.

Virtual Box is not ESX server. There is no such thing as " enable 64 bit support"  The 755 is not a XEON based server/workstation with 128 gigs or more ram and 2 processors.

VT-x is required and VT-d may not be there at all.  Your processor is not Nelahem or Newer Xeon nor is it core I3 I5 I7 processor that supports LAHF SAHF etc.

VirtualBox supports 64-bit guest operating systems, even on 32-bit host operating systems, provided that the following conditions are met:

You need a 64-bit processor with hardware virtualization support (see the section called “Hardware vs. software virtualization”).

There is no free software support for Virtual box on the Dell forum.

VirtualBox is pretty nice for free. I use it on my MacMini when not naively BootCamping.

They have a real nice and active forum. I was impressed. Check it out.
