About OptiPlex Micro Plus 7010 CPU Compatibility
OptiPlex Micro Plus 7010
Hello! I have a bare Micro Plus 7010 and I'm having trouble choosing a compatible processor.
I looked up its specsheet and only 13th-gen Intel CPUs are mentioned. However, I compared this to the non-Plus version's as well and it surprisingly supports certain 12th-gen models as well on the same chipset.
Would 12th-gen CPUs work on the Micro Plus 7010? I'm hoping they would as I can get them cheaper than the 13th-gens. Thanks!

they both have Q670 chipset which natively support all 12th gen cpu. to support 13th gen needs a bios update. Dell did not validate 12th gen for the MFF plus for marketing reason. Also practical speaking the MFF can only support low power 12/13th gen cpu due to weak cooler capability.
