BIOS boot sequence issues

Hi everyone. I have a Dell Optiplex 5070,

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 pro to try and fix an issue we've run in to, which goes as expected, then upon trying to boot, it keeps saying no bootable device or whatever.

I go into the bios to check the boot sequence, in UEFI there are zero options there, so I click Add Boot Option, and it says File System not found. So I try the Legacy External Devices option, and that does not work either. I've changed around the secure boot options, and the modes, and got nothing.

The hard drive IS detected in the bios System Info section. Sata 0

I've reinstalled windows on dozens and dozens of different dell PC's throughout the past few years, and never once have I had this issue. I'm at a loss.

Legacy booting is no longer available past skylake.

UEFI GPT booting only from internal sata.  The F6 Mass Storage RST 17.5.3.1026 drivers are no longer optional nor are the chipset drivers.

It will not see any drives to install on without the F6 mass storage drivers extracted to the root of the install media or on a usb flash drive extracted.  You cannot point to a zip or exe or cab file the individual files must be extracted.

The WIN10 PE Drivers are no longer optional.

NOTE: Make sure that the WinPE CAB version actually matches the boot image; . Windows 10 PE is required for the OS to see a drive to install.

All the drivers are in a single cab file that must be extracted so you can point to it.

You extract the cab file contents via 7zip

Thank you for the info, I just need some clarification as I'm relatively new to all the super technical stuff.

The F6 mass storage drivers are installed from that first link I assume? Then I have to put it with the installation files I have on the USB?

Also what is the WinPE CAB version? Like, how would I check it?

The F6 mass storage drivers are in a Cab file.  You cannot point to an exe or cab or zip file you must use 7zip to extract the contents.  The RST F6 mass storage drivers are in a folder after cab is extracted called storage.

There wont be any 32 bit versions of the driver because past skylake its win10 only 64 bit whql only.

They call it floppy driver because floppy was used in 2014 with XP.  Newer machines have no floppy drive so it must be in the ROOT of the USB flash drive.
